Many private health insurers now cover acupuncture in their policies, such as:
Aviva Health care, Benenden Health care Society, Birmingham Hospital Saturday Fund, Healthshield, HSF, Medicash, Vitality Health, Pru Health, Sovereign Health Care, Simply Health and WPA.
If you have cover, it is worth checking with them to see how you can go about reclaiming your treatment.

What we need
Victoria Busk will be known as the 'controller' of the personal data you provide to me. I only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information or location based information. This does however include name, address, email and phone number.
Why we need it
I need to know you basic personal data in order to provide you with the best treatment, and to arrange appointments. I will not collect any personal data from you I do not need to provide this service to you. I am unable to send or receive encrypted emails so you should be aware that emails we share may not be protected in transit.
Sharing your personal data
All personal data shared I treat as strictly confidential. It will only be shared with relevant authorities such as with your doctor or police if necessary to protect yours or another person's life; with the police or local authority for the purpose of safeguarding a child or vulnerable adults; or with my regularity body, the British Acupuncture Council, or my insurance company in the event of a compliant or insurance claim brought against me.
How long we keep it
I keep patient records for a period of 7 years in accordance with the British Acupuncture code of professional conduct. At any time you may request that changes are made to your contact details. All clinical notes are stored in a locked filing cabinet.
What are your rights
Unless subject to an exemption under GDPR, you have certain rights with respect to your personal data. Such as, the right to request a copy of your personal data which I hold about you, the right to request that I correct any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date, and the right to lodge a complaint to the Information Commissioners Office.
